Note that Barack Obama left at Western Wall in Jerusalem

The Obama Campaign collaborated with the Israeli news media to publicize the note that Barack left at the Western Wall in Jerusalem.  An Israeli paper was duped by the junior Illinois Senator’s campaign to publish the note.

The Israeli Insider broke the news:

What initially seemed to be a journalistic scoop of dubious moral propriety now seems to be a case of an Israeli paper being played by the Barack Obama campaign. Maariv, the second most popular newspaper in Israel, was roundly criticized for publishing the note Obama left in the Kotel. But now a Maariv spokesperson says that publication of the note was pre-approved for international publication by the Obama campaign, leading to the conclusion that the “private” prayer was intentionally leaked for public consumption.

At around 5am last Thursday, Obama arrived at the Kotel, or Western Wall, abutting the holiest site in Judaism, the Temple Mount. Accompanied by the Rabbi in charge of the site, Shmuel Rabinovich, he reportedly heard Psalm 122, which contains a prayer for the peace of Jerusalem, touched the wall briefly and then deposited a note of prayer into a crack between the ancient stones, in keeping with the tradition of visitors to the site. On his way out, he was briefly heckled, with one man calling out that “Jerusalem is not for sale” and “Remember what you see here.” Trying to drown out the critics, a few supporters chanted his name.

“Obama’s note was published in Maariv and other international publications following his authorization to make the content of the note public. Obama submitted a copy of the note to media outlets when he left his hotel in Jerusalem.”

Typical the Obama campaign using religion as a campaign prop. I wonder if Reverand Jeremiah Wright was advising Barack on this.

Obama Heckled At The Western Wall

The US presidential nominee was heckled as he visited the Western Wall in the early hours of Thursday morning, bowing his head in prayer and observing traditional custom by placing a folded piece of paper into the crevice of the wall.

Orthodox men interrupted their morning prayers to catch a glimpse of the Illinois senator, reaching out to shake his hand as he passed them by. But not all were taken by the Democrat. One yelled out: “Obama, Jerusalem is not for sale!” before Mr Obama was whisked away to his waiting plane.

Fox News reported this morning shortly after 5am that there has been a terrorist attack in Jerusalem.

A Bulldozer slammed into a bus, other vehicles and pedestrians in Jerusalem on Wednesday, causing dozens of injuries in an apparent deliberate attack, police said.

at least one person was killed and 30 or more were wounded.

“A suspect driving a tractor ran over a number of vehicles and Israelis in the street, on Jaffa Road. Israeli police arrived at the scene. Many people were injured,” police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said.

A single-decker commuter bus, its side slashed by the tractor, stood on its side in one of Jewish West Jerusalem’s main streets.

An ambulance service said there were dozens of casualties.

At least three other vehicles were damaged, one being a van with it’s entire front section crushed.

A radio reporter at the scene said after the bulldozer hit the vehicles, a man climbed onto its cab and shot at its driver, an Arab, several times.

Fox News is reporting that a front end loader was used the driver was a Palestinian.

It took at least 20 minutes before the driver was killed.

Yosef Spielman, who witnessed the attack, said the bulldozer picked up a car “like a toy.”

“I was shocked. I saw a guy going crazy,” he said. “All the people were running. They had no chance.”
