McCain VP Pick Sarah Palin

McCain VP Nominee Alaska Governor Sarah Palin

John McCain has picked Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his Vice Presidential candidate.  The emergence of Palin will boost the McCain candidacy.

From ABC News:

The 44-year-old Palin brings working class roots and appeal to female voters, becoming only the second female vice presidential candidate on a major party ticket and a first for the GOP.

Being first is nothing to new to Palin (pronounced PALE-IN). She is the first female governor of the Last Frontier, the 49th state to join the Union in 1959 and the 48th most populous state.

Palin is also the youngest governor in Alaska’s short statehood history, taking office in 2006 amidst attempts by Democrats to turn the reliably Republican state to their column.

Gov. Palin is married with five children, a staunch opponent of abortion rights, and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.

Jimmy Carter, not being the sharpest knife in the drawer, praised his candidate Barack Obama describing him as a black boy on PBS during the Democrat convention in Denver. You can bet if a Republican used that phraseology they would be chastised unmercifully by the Democrats and nutroots.

Barack Obama

Why do Muslims want to assure the voting public that Barack Hussein Obama isn’t a Muslim?  A Christian supported by Allah’s legions?   This doesn’t pass the smell test.

Strange but true:

Faced with White House hopefuls they fear are not entirely sympathetic to their issues, American Muslims are stepping up their activism to unprecedented levels, hoping to influence the new administration in its infancy.

Since the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks on U.S. landmarks that killed about 3,000 people, many of Muslim or Arab origin have struggled to convince at times skeptical fellow citizens that they can be Muslim and loyal to the United States.

“The number of people who have become more active and visible on the national political front has increased dramatically because people have suddenly sensed that they have to … defend themselves as Americans, defend themselves as Arabs and Muslims,” said Shibley Telhami, a Mideast scholar.

Not all Arabs are Muslim nor vice versa, but they face similar problems and share many concerns.

Tarek El-Messidi, 27, of Cincinnati, went door-to-door in South Carolina for Democratic candidate Barack Obama on an unusual mission. The Muslim volunteer had to assure voters Obama isn’t Muslim.

El-Messidi said younger Muslims lean more toward Obama than Senator John McCain, the presumptive Republican choice.

“In talking to Muslims, they’re really struggling between two things: They don’t know whether to view Barack Obama as a lesser of two evils or a really good candidate that they are excited about … there’s no doubt they view him as a better candidate than McCain.”

Barack Hussein Obama, the Democrat Party Candidate. The party of Pelosi, Reid, Durbin and Schumer… enough said.

Al-Jazeera & Dems Join Forces At Democrat Convention In Denver, CO

Al-Jazeera plans to televise the Democrat Party Convention in Denver to all of the Middle East Muslim nations.  No surprise here. Barack Hussein Obama is their favorite candidate.

From the Rocky Mountain News:

The city of Golden has rolled out the welcome mat for a global Arab news network that the Bush administration has condemned for its reporting of the Iraq war.

When Al-Jazeera comes to Colorado to cover the Democratic National Convention this month, it will use Golden as the backdrop to show the Arab world what life is like in a typical U.S. town.

“It’s a great opportunity to share a slice of life in small-town America in the midst of an engaging Democratic process,” Golden Mayor Jacob Smith said. “I’m sure we’ll learn a lot in the process, and so will Arabs about us.”

Al-Jazeera, which some describe as the CNN of the Arabic-speaking world, reaches 120 million viewers in 80 countries.

The U.S. has criticized Al- Jazeera for running stories on civilian casualties during the Iraq war. The station also broadcast videotaped statements from Osama bin Laden after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

“The U.S. government does not like Al-Jazeera because there’s a sense they feed into anti-U.S. sentiment,” said Bella Mody, a professor of journalism at the University of Colorado at Boulder. She called Al-Jazeera “an excellent alternative news source.”

“Its mission is to represent the Arab streets to the rest of the world and present the rest of the world to the Arab streets,” she said.

Al-Jazeera program directors could not be reached for comment Wednesday.

The main station broadcast is in Arabic, but about three years ago, the network began an English-language news channel that airs on the Internet.

Al-Jazeera’s Washington bureau will broadcast from both Denver and Golden, reporting on issues that will include the economy, the environment, health care and the Iraq war.

The backdrop for its Aug. 27 broadcast from Golden will be the Buffalo Rose, an iconic bar in the heart of downtown, where the college-educated townies and tattooed Harley riders blow off steam after work.

On Aug. 28, the day of Barack Obama’s speech, an al-Jazeera crew will broadcast from a bar near Invesco Field at Mile High, Golden officials said.

Barack Obama claims to have spoken for “months” on the Russia, South Osettia, Georgia situation. There is no evidence of Barack Obama’s concern for this region in any statements until now. A desperate attempt to keep up with McCain with an obvious lie.

Spalding Group founder responds to MoveOn.Org Obama bumper sticker giveaway – will give away up to a million “NOBAMA” bumper stickers

Louisville, KY July 31, 2008 – Ted Jackson, founder and president of Spalding Group, a principal supplier to the last six Republican Presidential campaigns, official licensee to the 2000 and 2004 Bush-Cheney campaigns, and creator of the McCainStore.com online store, announced today his plan to personally fund the giveaway of up to one million of the hugely popular “NOBAMA” bumper stickers. Jackson is making this independent expenditure to underwrite the overall NOBAMA bumper sticker giveaway expense as a direct response to a MoveOn.org offer of a free Obama bumper sticker.

Spalding Group initially created and recently introduced its NOBAMA product line in answer to overwhelming requests from its hundreds of thousands of customers. Since the line’s introduction, the sale of these items has been unprecedented. When asked about the NOBAMA product line success and his personal one million NOBAMA bumper sticker giveaway, Jackson responded, “MoveOn.Org is an ultra-liberal organization that, in reality, speaks for a very small minority in this country. This isn’t a coronation. As confirmed by recent polls, there are currently an equal number of individuals that oppose Obama as there are that support him, and they want to be heard.”

To receive a free “NOBAMA” bumper sticker, enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope and mail the request to;

Frances Rice

Black Republican leader Frances Rice runs against the grain of most Democrats when she calls them racist.  She doesn’t care. That is her belief  and she isn’t backing down. Her “Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican” (Rice article on why MLK was a Republican)  billboards angered many on both sides of the aisle. She is still waiting for the Democrats to prove her wrong on  the MLK billboards without any challenge to the contrary yet.

She is one woman I respect because she admits the truth about her race’s racist history and it’s connection to the Democrat Party without regret.

The leader of the Sarasota-based National Black Republican Association is a minority within a minority. Not only is she black, she is also a Republican, a member of a party to which fewer than 10 percent of black voters in Florida belong. Her campaigns — including one meant to foil the nomination of the first black presidential candidate, Barack Obama — are best known for their shock value.

Her messages have brought condemnation from Democrats. But they have also sparked a backlash among many Republicans.

When she was criticized for raising billboards in Southwest Florida saying “Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican,” she challenged anyone to sue her if they thought she was wrong. “Let them come into court with their evidence,” Rice said.

When hearing that the chairman of the Republican Party of Florida, Jim Greer, had expressed disappointment in her magazine, The Black Republican, which Greer had secured party money to publish, Rice dismissed it with a wave of her hand.

The magazine featured a picture of Ku Klux Klan members burning a cross, with the caption “Every person in this photograph was a Democrat.”

Article titles included “Democrats

embrace their child molesters,” and “Top 10 Democratic sex scandals in Congress,” and “Democrats wage war on God.”

Rice shows no intention of backing down. Her personal history of growing up in poverty under segregation is her fuel.

“This is the first time in my life that I have felt I am actually doing something about what the Democrats have done in the past and are doing now to black people,” Rice said. “If the Democrats had left us alone after the Republicans freed us from slavery we wouldn’t be having this discussion today. They are keeping blacks in virtual slavery.”
