Barack Obama’s pastor the Rev. Jeremiah Wright of Trinity United Church of Christ is getting a lot of press these days for his racist/racy remarks from the pulpit. A few in the black community have even been defending his remarks saying that “white” people don’t understand “black” churches. I’ve attended “black” churches and other than awesome singing and a willingness to show their passion for Jesus Christ with displays of dancing and rejoicing, I can’t say there was much difference from the “white” churches I’ve attended. Not to mention I’ve attended a few “white” churches that have awesome music and dancing too. But regardless of the racial makeup sitting on the pews the message remains the same. Christianity is Christianity regardless of what color you are. Barak Obama has sat under Rev. Wright’s leadership for twenty years, was brought into the fold by Rev. Wright, was married by Rev. Wright, had his children baptized by Rev. Wright, named his book after a sermon given by Rev. Wright, and now we are to believe that he doesn’t know the theology of his spiritual mentor? Whether Barak Obama knew or didn’t know he is not fit to be President of the United States. If he didn’t know than he is a complete dunderhead which rules him out to be the President. If he did know than he is a racist which also rules him out to be the President. I’m more inclined to go with the latter. He knew and his wife has been espousing her anti-America rhetoric out on the campaign trail, it’s no coincidence. If you are propagandized for twenty years some of it’s bound to rub off. If you are inclined to take his side and say that he didn’t know than in essence you are saying that he is a dolt, a man who is unable to ascertain the character of a man that he has known for twenty years.

Do you really want someone that dense to be the next President? If you answer yes, I say heaven help us all!

George Orwell’s 1984 has always been one of my favorite books, ever since I was about 12 years old. I still, to this day, read it at least once a year. When I was a teenager it seemed so fantastical, but unfortunately today it seems to be the new reality. Liberals are always talking about civil liberties but as this story proves, yet again, it’s all lip service…

Thanks to guidelines issued by the American Academy of Pediatrics and supported by the commonwealth, doctors across Massachusetts are interrogating our kids about mom and dad’s “bad” behavior. We used to be proud parents. Now, thanks to the AAP, we’re “persons of interest.” The paranoia over parents is so strong that the AAP encourages doctors to ignore “legal barriers and deference to parental involvement” and shake the children down for all the inside information they can get. And that information doesn’t stay with the doctor, either. Debbie is a mom from Uxbridge who was in the examination room when the pediatrician asked her 5-year-old, “Does Daddy own a gun?” When the little girl said yes, the doctor began grilling her and her mom about the number and type of guns, how they are stored, etc. If the incident had ended there, it would have merely been annoying. But when a friend in law enforcement let Debbie know that her doctor had filed a report with the police about her family’s (entirely legal) gun ownership, she got mad. She also got a new doctor. In fact, the problem of anti-gun advocacy in the examining room has become so widespread that some states are considering legislation to stop it. As if it wasn’t bad enough that the Democratic party has turned Florida into an ATM machine, they are now not only doing the same to Michigan but even worse. We’ll take your money they say but don’t expect to be able to vote for us because, well, we won’t be on your ballot. Your not worthy of having a vote, we don’t want you to have a say. Considering that it’s Michigan, home of the Unions, one has to wonder exactly what substance has been added to the Kool-Aid that they’re drinking. Don’t they know that Michigan is one of the places they can feel free to put their feet up? Apparently not…

LANSING, Mich. – Four Democratic candidates have withdrawn from Michigan’s Jan. 15 presidential primary, undercutting the validity of the contest. Barack Obama, John Edwards and Bill Richardson filed paperwork Tuesday, the deadline to withdraw from the ballot, said Kelly Chesney, spokeswoman for the Michigan Secretary of State’s office. A fourth candidate, Joe Biden, said in a statement that he was bypassing Michigan’s primary, calling it a beauty contest. “Today’s decision reaffirms our pledge to respect the primary calendar as established by the DNC and makes it clear that we will not play into the politics of money and Republican machinations that only serve to interfere with the primary calendar,” said Biden for President Campaign Manager Luis Navarro. House #1 A 20 room mansion ( not including 8 bathrooms ) heated by natural gas. Add on a pool ( and a pool house) and a separate guest house, all heated by gas. In one month this residence consumes more energy than the average American household does in a year. The average bill for electricity and natural gas runs over $2400. In natural gas alone, this property consumes more than 20 times the national average for an American home. This house is not situated in a Northern or Midwestern “snow belt” area. It’s in the South.

House #2 Designed by an architecture professor at a leading national university. This house incorporates every “green” feature current home construction can provide. The house is 4,000 square feet ( 4 bedrooms ) and is nestled on a high prairie in the American southwest. A central closet in the house holds geothermal heat-pumps drawing ground water through pipes sunk 300 feet into the ground. The water (usually 67 degrees F. ) heats the house in the winter and cools it in the summer. The system uses no fossil fuels such as oil or natural gas and it consumes one-quarter electricity required for a conventional heating/cooling system. Rainwater from the roof is collected and funneled into a 25,000 gallon underground cistern. Wastewater from showers, sinks and toilets goes into underground purifying tanks and then into the cistern. The collected water then irrigates the land surrounding the house. Surrounding flowers and shrubs native to the area enable the property to blend into the surrounding rural landscape.

HOUSE #1 is outside of Nashville , Tennessee; it is the abode of the “environmentalist” Al Gore.

HOUSE #2 is on a ranch near Crawford, Texas ; it is the residence of the President of the United States , George W. Bush.

Yet another example of hypocrisy from Algore, what an inconvenient truth! And why is it that this isn’t reported in the MSM?

I hear the outrage on television talk shows and on the internet that Elvira Arillano has been deported by a cold unfeeling American Government. I’m outraged too! Outraged that the 14th amendment has been bastardized by our courts in allowing anchor babies.

The 14th Amendment was added to the Constitution as part of the post-Civil War reforms aimed at addressing injustices to African Americans. It states that “all persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof are citizens of the United States” and was crafted so that state governments could never deny citizenship to blacks born in the United States. But at the time, the United States had no immigration policy, and thus the authors saw no need to state that explicitly. The phrase “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” was intended to exclude from automatic citizenship American-born persons whose allegiance to the United States was not complete. In the case of illegal aliens who are temporarily or unlawfully in the United States, because their native country has a claim of allegiance on the child, the completeness of the allegiance to the United States is impaired and logically precludes automatic citizenship. If common sense was used, not only would Ms. Arillano have been deported but her child also. Anchor babies are an unintended consequence of an outdated amendment to our constitution. The legislature should address the 14th amendment and close this loophole. It is not the American government that chose to break up this family, it is Ms. Arillano who cares so little for her child that she is willing to use him as a political football and leave him here. The outrage doesn’t stop there. Ms. Arillano is the hispanic version of Cindy Sheehan. How best can I use the fruit of my loins to further my political agenda? Well the answer is simple, Ms. Arillano already has plans to send her son out on a whirlwind tour in the U.S. to promote migrant rights. She has proven that she is an unfit mother with her abandonment of him and furthers the case to lose all of her parental rights by wanting to send her son out to do her dirty work for her.

What started out as an effort to recall a school board member that had missed 9 out of the last 17 meetings has now turned into needed legislation. Why you might ask? Because state law currently allows for recall of all elected county officials with the exception of school board members for unchartered counties, of which we are one.

After finding out that we had elected officials who cannot be recalled we checked into the attendance requirements for school board members only to find out that there are none. There are rules that mandate attendance requirements for students and for the school advisory panel which is a volunteer position, but not for the people who are actually being paid. The local school board could set their own attendance requirements but when asked to add it to the agenda for a vote the board chairwoman refused to even discuss it. Judy Kennedy, a concerned citizen, addressed the board to discuss this and followed it up with a letter asking for it to be added to the agenda of an upcoming meeting. The response she received was done on school board letterhead and stated, “I am in receipt of your letter. I will not bring up an attendance policy for elected school board members at the next meeting or any other meeting. If any other member wishes to bring this up for discussion, then I will address the issue.”

Needless to say no one wants to bring this up on the agenda. The bottom line here is that we have an elected school board that is held to no standards. The way it is currently set up a person could be elected and never attend one school board meeting while still making a paycheck of $37,500 per year. The only way they can be removed is by the Governor, but since there is no attendance requirement, there are no grounds to remove them. This should be unaccepatable to all voters! When one considers that there are only 24 meetings per year each lasting approximately 2 hours I don’t think it’s too much for the voters to ask that they attend these meetings. While the majority of our school board members do attend the meetings we need to have some kind of accountability for those who do not. If you want to get involved with this issue please contact Representative John Legg at john.leg@myfloridahouse.gov and let him know you believe some accountability is needed by our local school board .

Presidential candidate Barack Obama courts the Christian voter but if his church’s website is any indication of Barack’s faith, Christians should run screaming from his candidacy. If you visit the Trinity United Church of Christ’s website located at http://www.tucc.org/ you will be welcomed by a logo of the church that is emblazoned over the motherland of Africa. The pastor of this church, Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright, says its doctrine reflects black liberation theology, which views the Bible in part as a record of the struggles of “people of color” against oppression. I view this churches website as racist and if it was a white church, let’s say Mitt Romneys’ church, it would be the front page headline from now to election day. Let’s just look at the “About Us” statement from the website:

We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian… Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain “true to our native land,” the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of racism. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a Black worship service and ministries which address the Black Community.

Now imagine if this paragraph was changed and posted on a Mormon website:

We are a congregation which is Unashamedly White and Unapologetically Christian… Our roots in the White religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are a White people, and remain “true to our native land,” the mother of all civilized societies. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of ridicule from the Christian church, the days of being reviled and persecuted, and the long journey that forced our pilgrimage to the west. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a White worship service and ministries which address the White Community.

The only difference here is that this would never be posted on a Mormon website in this day and age. But if it was posted, the outcry would be deafening. So why the silence on Barack Obama’s church I ask?

Is the Tampa Tribune desperate for an anti-war movement here in Pasco? Three to seven people get out on the road in the morning holding a few signs and that constitutes a protest? Pathetic. These protesters are the same people who say they believe in human rights, civil rights, multiculturalism, etc… Saddam Hussein has been deposed, the Iraqi’s vote in higher percentages than Americans, the rape rooms are closed, the political prisoners of Saddam are free, and the opportunity to take control of their country has been put in Iraqi citizens hands. Rather than having a government imposed on them the Iraqi’s are now able to control their own destiny. What they do with this opportunity is up to them but we definitely should not cut and run as we did in Vietnam. Does anyone want to see a repeat of the Killing Fields in Cambodia on a much larger scale? I recently received an essay written by Raymond S. Kraft and I cannot say it any better than he already has in this excerpt: In WW II the US averaged 2,000 KIA a week for four years. Most of the individual battles of WW II lost more Americans than the entire Iraq war has done so far. The stakes in Iraq are at least as high. A world dominated by representative governments with civil rights, human rights, and personal freedoms . . or a world dominated by a radical Islamic Wahhabi movement, by the Jihad, under the Mullahs and the Sharia (Islamic law). It’s difficult to understand why the average American does not grasp this. They favor human rights, civil rights, liberty and freedom, but evidently not for Iraqi’s. “Peace Activists” always seem to demonstrate here in America , where it’s safe. Why don’t we see Peace Activist demonstrating in Iran , Syria , Iraq, Sudan , North Korea , in the places that really need peace activism the most? I’ll tell you why! They would be killed! The liberal mentality is supposed to favor human rights, civil rights, democracy, multiculturalism, diversity, etc., but if the Jihad wins, wherever the Jihad wins, it is the end of civil rights, human rights, democracy, multiculturalism, diversity, etc. Americans who oppose the liberation of Iraq are coming down on the side of their own worst enemy!
