The Republicans (actually, I should say SOME Republicans) are just engaged in a sideshow right now. Nobody pays them any mind, and their own President isn't lifting a finger to help them out. It's just a publicity stunt so they can get some free airtime to use in their campaigns back home. Ignore them and they'll go away. It's tough for a Democratic Congress to get anything meaningful through, when the Republican President vetoes, or threatens to veto, anything of substance. Wait until we have a Democratic President and a Democratic Congress before you throw in the towel. What was accomplished with six years of a Republican Congress? They focused on all the issues that are "important": gay marriage, flag burning, etc etc SIX YEARS that Bush and the GOP had to deal with energy, and they never lifted a finger, and now the Democratic Congress is supposed to have solved it in a year and a half? McCain complains that Congress hasn't done anything in 30 years, and he was a member of that Congress for 26 of those years. They specialize in making ridiculous statements, and they pray that we're too stupid to connect the dots. Why do you think they call this site Stuck On Stupid?
