do me a favor, whoever the author is, dont group people together......the whole Democrats living in pre 9/11 thing, it just looks bad and ignorant.....we all want whats best for America and just because we may disagree doesnt mean we should divide ourselves, because then in time we will leave ourselves weaker for the enemy to take advantage of us.....anyways, enough of the soapbox from me.....

i read the article and it says that an increasing number of Americans feel we are winning the war, but here are your numbers.....

September 6, 2004 when 52% thought the U.S. and its allies were winning

then.........

Nearly half of Americans (48%) now believe the United States and its allies are winning the War on Terror

it sounds like the opposite my friend....surely the number of people who thought the terrorists would win has gone down 6% since 2004 but the number of people who think we are winning has gone down too!

But if you were trying to make your point from july07 then yes, it has improved in one year....but as a whole its still gone down......

I myself dont agree or dissagree that we are winning the war, we are fighting against people who are so directionless that they follow anyone who has a vision, no matter how warped it is....but the fighting ground has been central in Iraq when in fact pakistan and afghanistan are their breeding grounds.....Thats why I backed Obama is because his focus was on these two places, that now the pentagon has said is rising in violence and has a number of growing factions there that are attacking us more and more.......
