We here at recallmel.com have a very simple & defined mission, to effect a legal recall petition drive with the ultimate goal of a special election to remove Senator Mel Martinez from office. It is our belief that our home America is crumbling at the foundation and this proposed legislation is a dangerous & misguided tragedy that has the potential to bring the US down. When our elected leaders betray their campaign promises and display reckless disregard for our interest, it is our duty to do everything possible to take away the power they so desperately crave. I think we need to let our senators know that the sleeping giant has awakened and we are going to hold them accountable for their actions.
As bad as Martinez is on immigration, he is worse on energy –he won’t allow US drilling offshore making us more dependent on the Saudis and the Chavezes. He is content to watch as Cuba drills off the Keys with Chinese help. But Senator Nelson of FL is much worse in his overall voting record. It doesn’t make sense to go to all the trouble of recalling a half-bad Sen and ignoring the all-bad guy. The way to punish the party and Mel is to not give them a dime until we get a better choice of representatives. Of course don’t vote for him. (I will not vote for the Dem either.)
The people of Florida are disgusted with Mel. We would like him to go away quickly. Try to get people from all over our once great country to sign the petition. After all, he is the chairman of the GOP and we need to send a message to the elites…..

Why stop with Just Martinez. What about the other clown in Florida, Sen Nelson. His office replied to my concern about amnesty and said " I will continue to be in favor of securing our borders and opposed to amnesty." Then a week later he voted for cloture.

I received the following quote from Nelson’s office. …"I will continue to be in favor of securing our borders and opposed to amnesty." A week later, he voted for cloture on the shamnesty bill. Lets recall both and show the grassroots power of the people!!!!!
i agree, we need to recall both senators here in florida. please someone start a website like recall mel for this clown as well. sen. nelson’s office assured me that my emails, letters, and almost daily phone calls were not in vain and that he would not support the shamenesty bill. he did as he usually does and voted against the will of the the majority. it is time to take back our government.
